Governance of the school is carried out by the Board of Trustees, in accordance with the school’s by-laws. The Board, with the Head of School’s input, safeguards the school’s mission, survival, and fiscal health, and plays a leadership role in its strategic direction. The Board of Trustees consists of parents, who are elected by the Membership for a two-year term, and community members, who are appointed by the Board Chair in consultation with the Board. Any current parent is eligible to serve on the Board.

Board Committees
Policy and governance initiatives are undertaken by standing committees or by ad hoc committees convened by the Board of Trustees. Each committee makes recommendations to the Board, which determines the appropriate action on the committee’s recommendations.
